Back to the ’30s BMW released the 328 – the sports car’s most successful and best aspect of time. The success of the car was given its impressive design parameters: systematic lightweight construction, aerodynamic lines, optimum engine types and suspension technology in circulation. And as a celebration of 75 anniversary of the BMW car unveiled at the Mille Miglia this year, the Tribute 328, a model that translates the principles and character of the vehicle at the time now and offers a possible interpretation of how the designers of this time, Fritz Fiedler and Rudolf Schleicher, could have built the BMW 328 at present with current technology.
“With the BMW 328 Tribute, we pay tribute to the passion and resourcefulness of the parents of the BMW 328, ” says Karl Baumer, Director General of BMW Group Classic. “They created an icon, which is considered a milestone in automotive history.”
After that BMW has unveiled the first details about the Tribute 328 earlier this weekend, now it’s time to see the concept in action in the Triad Concorso Villa d’Este. At the same ceremony the concept won the title of “Best of Show”in the “concept cars and prototypes”category.
